Kiln Drive VFD System Retrofit
Location: Hetauda Cement Industries
Challenge: The main kiln drive was powered by an inefficient, high-maintenance slip-ring motor system, causing frequent downtime and high energy costs.
Solution: I led a project to replace the outdated system with a modern 2.5 MW Siemens GH180 VFD and a high-efficiency induction motor. This involved complete system design, power & control cable scheduling, PLC integration, and commissioning.

- Achieved a 22% reduction in energy consumption for the kiln drive.
- Provided precise speed control, improving product quality.
- Drastically reduced maintenance hours and costs.
Automated Warehouse Lighting System
Client: CG Foods (Wai Wai) at CG Industrial Park
Challenge: A 10,000 sq. meter warehouse had inefficient high-bay lighting that was left on 24/7, leading to massive energy waste.
Solution: I designed and commissioned a fully automated DALI-based LED lighting system. The system used occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting to ensure lights were only on when and where needed, and at the appropriate brightness level.
Key Outcomes:
- Cut warehouse lighting costs by over 60%.
- Improved safety with better-lit aisles during operation.
- Provided a scalable solution that was adopted in other warehouses.
